Let’s calm
Park Avenue

Join a citizens’ group mobilizing to transform Park Avenue into a safe, welcoming and greener street.

Why calm Park Avenue?

  1. The problem:

    A dangerous street

Since 2013 at least 14 people have been killed on Park Avenue and at its intersections. Every day, vulnerable people are exposed to long pedestrian crossings, fast turning cars and fragile bike links.

  2. The solution:

    Traffic calming

Reduce speeds, shorten crossings, make intersections predictable and give more space to walking, cycling and transit.

  3. The benefits:

    A busier street

A traffic-calmed street draws more people: they linger, local shops benefit and neighbourhood life takes up more space.
